Change of chart paper

After the registration period has expired, change the chart paper. Remove the hood. Use the release lever to disengage the writing arms to the greatest possible distance from the drum.

For mechanical watch: release watch drum by removing the wrench (unscrew by turning clockwise).
Carefully pull the drum upwards. Fix the diagram holder (metal strip) at the bottom with your thumb in order to avoid jumping against it. At the same time pull out the holder with the other hand upwards until the paper can be removed.

Replace the chart paper with a blank one. When laying the new paper, make sure that it fits snugly on the drum and that the lower edge rests on the lower edge all around. Hold the paper by the overlap with your thumb and replace the chart holder. The overlap of the paper should be completely obscured by the chart holder.
Replace the drum on the guide rod of the watch. Push the drum all the way down to the stop (firm, but without force). When using the mechanical watch, turn it back and forth while setting it so that the gears engage.

Use only chart paper matching the device. Wrong paper will not give you correct results!
