The museum putty was originally developed as protection against earthquakes. However, it also protects your valuable objects against any kind of vibration or accidental movement by visitors or during transport. Content 75 g (about 40 applications).
According to the manufacturer's recommendation suitable for:
- Glass, crystal, porcelain, ceramics
- Paintings and walls
- Lamps, pictures
We generally recommend not to use on porous or absorbent surfaces.
Application
Knead about peas to peas and press on the underside of the object. Lightly push the object against the ground with a slight twist. In about 30 minutes, the putty is solid. To detach, slightly turn and lift the object. Do not expose to direct sunlight.
Some conservators insulate absorbent substrates with Paraloid before applying the museum putty for mounting.
According to the Oddy test, only suitable for temporary use.
